  • Because art show season keeps me very busy during the spring and summer months, I have limited availability for commission work. I take on a small number of projects at a time to ensure each one receives the care and attention it deserves.

  • If you're interested in commissioning a piece, I encourage you to submit an inquiry early! I review requests on a first-come, first-served basis and will reach out if I have availability to move forward with your project.

Each custom piece begins with you — your space, your story, and your connection to nature. I work closely with clients to design one-of-a-kind moss and botanical artworks that reflect your vision while honoring the natural beauty at the heart of Moss Botanica.​​

The Process

1 | INQUIRY
 

  • Complete the form (to the right) with a few details about your vision and space.

 

2 | CONSULTATION
 

  • If I have commission availability, I'll reach out to schedule a free initial consultation (by email or phone) to discuss your project in more depth.

 

3 | PROPOSAL
 

  • I'll create a proposal outlining size, materials, design ideas, and estimated pricing.

 

4 | CREATION
 

  • Once the proposal is approved and the deposit is received, I'll begin crafting your custom piece.

 

5 | COMPLETION
 

  • When your artwork is complete, we'll arrange for pickup, delivery, or shipping depending on your location.​

Timing and Availability

  • Spring and summer months (May–Sept) are my busiest seasons, so ​​commission spots are very limited during this time and fill quickly.

​​

  • Please allow 4–8 weeks for the full process, depending on the size and complexity of the project.

​​

  • Holiday season commissions (Oct–Dec) also fill early, early inquiries are highly encouraged!​

Commission FAQ

How far in advance should I reach out?

​

The earlier, the better! I recommend submitting your inquiry at least 8–12 weeks before you’d like your piece completed, especially between May and December when my schedule fills quickly.

How long does a custom piece take?


Depending on size, materials, and complexity, most commissions take between 4–8 weeks from consultation to completion. Rush options are not always available, but feel free to note a deadline in your inquiry.

What sizes do you offer?


Custom pieces can range from small shelf-sized artworks to large-scale commercial projects. If you have a specific dimension or wall space in mind, please include that in your form!

What is the investment for a custom piece?


Custom commissions can vary greatly depending on size, materials, and design complexity. I’ll provide a detailed proposal and quote before any work begins.

Is a deposit required?

 

Yes. A $100 design deposit is required before developing a custom project proposal. This amount will be credited toward your final balance if you proceed with the commission. Once the design is approved, a 50% production deposit is required to begin creating your project.

Can you ship the artwork?

 

Currently, Moss Botanica offers local delivery and pickup only due to the delicate nature of the artwork. Delivery is available within 20 miles of my studio located in White Bear Lake (up to 50 miles for an additional fee), or pieces may be picked up by appointment.
